1. Satisfy all admissions requirements.
2. Earn a minimum of 60 semester hours of credit to
include the following general education (GE) requirements.

Communications - 9 semester hours that include
English 110, 120, 121 or 125, and Speech Communication
110.
Arts and Humanities - 9 semester hours with no
more than 3 hours of Fine Arts Activities.
Social and Behavioral Sciences - 9 semester hours
Math, Science, and Technology - 9 semester
hours with at least 4 hours of a laboratory science
and at least 3 hours of math are required. If Math 102 (Intermediate Algebra) is taken, then 3 more hours must be taken in the math/science/technology area, to give a total of at least 12 hours instead of 9 hours.
3. Enrichment requirement: 2 semester hours to enrich
the overall educational experience. If a
course(s) is used to fulfill a general education requirement,
it cannot be used to fulfill the enrichment
requirement. |
4. Diversity requirement: 3 semester hours to enhance
the overall educational experience. If a course(s) is
used to fulfill a general education requirement, it can
be used to fulfill the diversity requirement.
5. Academic Skills Courses (ASC) will not fulfill general
education requirements and cannot be included
in the semester hours required for an Associate in Arts Degree.
6. Earn at least 15 semester hours of institutional credit
from Bismarck State College.
7. Achieve a minimum 2.00 grade point average (C
average) in at least 60 semester hours, including a
2.00 grade point average (C average) in all credits
from Bismarck State College.
8. Clear all college obligations.
9. File an Application for Graduation in the Student Records
Office at the beginning of the semester/term in
which the student expects to complete requirements
for graduation. |
