Networking: Making Professional Connections

This presentation gives you a quick look at the basics of networking to make professional connections, then moves quickly into some of the most common networking tools. You will explore the do's and don'ts of networking with the presenter sharing some of her own personal and professional experiences. This is a lighthearted approach on the topic of networking, but one that will leave you tips to use - today!

Paula Redmann is the Special Projects/Research and Development Coordinator for Bismarck Parks and Recreation District in Bismarck. Paula is originally from Jamestown and received her advertising and public relations degree from the University of North Dakota.
She says "yes" to way too many organizations, but is happy to be involved in community groups like Business and Professional Women, Heartland Child Nutrition Board of Directors, St. Alexius Community Advisory Board, Bismarck-Mandan Chamber's Leadership Steering Committee, church choir and council, and her latest adventure - Century High School Parent Advisory Committee. She does this because she loves going into schools, much to the horror of children. She is also an avid and obnoxious Toastmaster.
She is married to her high school sweetheart, Tom. (Sigh!) They have two active sons, Alex and Max. She loves to run, play in the yard and prides herself on getting to all her son's activities with an on-time rating of 98%!
