“Bismarck State College, on the occasion of its 65th commencement, presents this Distinguished Service Citation to Tim Hennessy in appreciation and recognition of his enthusiastic and unselfish service to this college and to the community. He has served the Bismarck State College Foundation with distinction as a trustee and officer. His wise counsel and seasoned judgment have contributed to the progress of this college and our community.”

Tim Hennessy, regional president for U.S. Bank in Bismarck, has served on the BSC Foundation Board of Trustees since 1997. He was president of the Foundation board in 2003-04 and is currently chairperson of the board. He is also a member of the Foundation's Finance Committee.

Hennessy was the 2004 recipient of the North Dakota Community Leadership Award, presented by the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the boards of the Bismarck Mandan Development Association, Bismarck Industries Inc., N.D. Economic Development Foundation, North Dakota Bankers Association and the University of Mary Board of Regents. His community involvement has also included chairing the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce board, service on the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way board, and membership in the Bismarck Rotary Club. He and his wife, Eve, are the parents of three children.
