Six employees were chosen from 50 nominations
to receive Awards for Excellence at
the Recognition Ceremony in April.
Faculty award recipients were Karen
Bauer, journalism instructor and Mystician
advisor, for diligence and eternal optimism,
recognizing the unique individuality of each
student, and pushing students to new levels;
and Dr. Noah Kover, assistant professor
of anatomy/physiology and biology, for
his patience, ability to make learning fun
and motivate his students, and his teaching
method that makes topics applicable to real
life situations.
Staff recipients were JoDe Knutson-Person,
chemistry laboratory coordinator, who
was praised for putting “Engage, Connect
and Deliver” into action, her ideas to better
the campus, and going above and beyond to
help all departments; and Marlene Seaworth,
disability support services coordinator, cited
for her professionalism, compassion and desire
to help students succeed, and doing more
for students than what is expected.
The part-time staff award recipient was
Eddie Collins, assistant men’s basketball
coach. He was praised for his kindness, dependability,
and for being a good leader and
role model.
Diane Eichhorst, music lecturer, received
the adjunct faculty award for being available,
accessible, patient and supportive.
