Students in Engineering and Engineering Technician programs have new equipment to test structures and materials, thanks to a BSC Foundation grant.

The Kelvin Bridge and Tower Tester with accessories was funded at the full $2,792 request. It brings an on-campus lab component to the Engineering Tech program, since students previously went to Grant provides equipment for engineering programs off-campus testing laboratories. The equipment also allows for expansion of the bridge building contest sponsored by the BSC Engineering Club.

The Foundation funded 23 campus projects last fall, awarding $39,519. An additional $5,860 was awarded to faculty and staff through professional development grants.
