Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (BSC) Bismarck State College offers a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Energy Management. The BAS is designed for individuals interested in supervisory and management positions in the energy industry. BSC graduates from the Process Plant Technology, Power Plant Technology, Electric Power Technology, Nuclear Power Technology, or Electrical Transmission Systems Technology programs are eligible to apply for the BAS program. The BAS builds on the foundation laid in an AAS degree and includes General Education classes, Core Management courses and Energy Specific Management courses. The BAS in Energy Management is offered entirely online. Transfer of Credits from BSC Students who intend to transfer to a four-year institutions are strongly advised to visit with representatives of that institution to assure that their program of study at BSC is suitable for transfer. Transfer of credits from BSC is normally a smooth process for students who have followed suggested curricular guidelines of BSC and the institution to which they will transfer. However, if at any time students encounter a problem with transfer of BSC credits to another institution, they are encouraged to contact the vice president of instruction and student services at BSC. Questions about General Education Requirements Transfer Agreement courses should be directed to the registrar. Transfer Articulation Agreements Bismarck State College has entered into transfer articulation agreements with several four-year institutions. The purpose of transfer articulation agreements is to provide a smooth transition from one related degree program to another.
