Dennis served ten years in the United States Navy, as a jet engine mechanic
and helicopter crewmen while deployed in Japan, the Philippines, and
Vietnam. He also served three years in Arizona where he administered the
Armed Forced Entrance exam at the induction center and at high schools
through out the state of Arizona and Nevada. Dennis was employed by Minnkota
Power Cooperative in Center North Dakota from April of 1980 to October of
2006 first as a maintenance mechanic, then as a mechanical maintenance
coordinator and finally as a mechanical maintenance supervisor. He received
an associates degree in Liberal Arts from Bismarck State College and a
Bachelors degree from Dickinson State University. He is also a former columnist for the
Bismarck Tribune, and the author of Deception in Dakota and Sea Devil Seven
Seven.
