Upon successful admission to BSC, you will receive a letter via US mail with instructions on registration along with your EMPL (student ID) number: You will receive this after your admissions file is complete. You will need this number to register online. You may register for online classes up to the first scheduled day of class. Regardless of start dates of class, online students will follow the refund policy.
You will need an e-mail address before registering. As a student of Bismarck State College, you may obtain a free e-mail address. You will need to know your EMPL # (if you do not know your EMPL # contact the Distance Education Advisor). An e-mail address will be assigned to you within 1-2 days. You may also obtain an e-mail address from other Web-based providers. We recommend using a BSC e-mail address to avoid conflicts.
Registration for online courses begins HERE. **NOTE: All Energy Technology (ELPW, ETST, NUPT, PWRP/PROP) students will need to register in a separate location. ETO students can register at http://www.bismarckstate.edu/campusconnection/.

Purchase books at the BSC Bookstore or online at http://www.bismarckstate.edu/books/.
Remember: Just as in a face-to-face class, you must "attend" a virtual class so that the instructor can verify from the roster that you are a member of the class. The only difference between a traditional class and an online course is that a virtual course is not time and place restrictive.
