Membership Requirements:
To become a member of Phi Beta Lambda, any student enrolled in BSC who has
taken at least one-business-related course is eligible. Examples of such
courses are Creating Web Pages, Desktop Publishing and Advanced Desktop
Publishing, E-commerce, Human Resources Management, Introduction to
Computers, Microcomputer Spreadsheets, Accounting, Visual Basic,
Introduction to Professional Writing, Sales, among hundreds of other
courses. At BSC, most students are eligible to participate in PBL.
Membership Events:
One major event in the PBL year is the State Leadership Conference held each
Spring. The photos above are from the 2005-2006 Conference held in Jamestown
in April 2006. Approximately 40 events are open for PBL members to compete
in at the State Leadership Conference, with the winners in each event
eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference, held in June each
year. The 2006-2007 National Leadership Conference will be held in Chicago,
