Federal Parent Loan
The Federal Parent Loan allows parents to borrow money to help pay for their dependent student's educational costs. Students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to qualify for this program.
There is no priority deadline to apply. Students and parents need to complete the PLUS loan application and credit history forms, which are available in the Financial Aid Office. Parents need to be credit worthy borrowers to qualify for this program.
Parents can borrow the difference between the cost of attendance and other financial aid the student is eligible for. Parents also need to meet credit criteria to borrow this loan. Repayment of the loan begins 60 days after disbursement.
