#TextMeWhenYouGetHome is a worldwide movement to bring awareness to individuals who go out alone and may or may never come home. These individuals are abducted, harmed or even killed.
Merlin the Mystic wants students to understand the importance of having someone to talk to when going out alone. It's essential to let someone know where you are and when you get there safely, no matter how you're traveling or where you're going. Stay aware and alert, especially when you're alone.
From Monday, Sep. 16, to Friday, Sep. 20, Mystics will see posters on campus showing stories of people who didn't get home safely or had scary experiences. Some happened nearby, others in different states, but they're all about college-aged students.
- If something feels off, always call 911.
- If you’re walking alone on campus and do not feel safe, call the Bismarck State College Police at 701-224-2700.
See something? Say something.
